The Need:With the popularization of green and energy-saving concepts, in order to provide more environmentally friendly and stable hot water services to teachers and students, Henan University Jinming Campus plans to install solar hot water systems in bathrooms.

The Challenge:

★The contradiction between the temperature difference between day and night and the peak water consumption:Solar energy collection is mainly used during the day, but the peak water usage in school bathrooms is concentrated from evening to night . The thermal storage tank needs to store sufficient heat. If the thermal storage design is insufficient, it may lead to a decrease in water temperature at night.

★The matching problem between hot water demand and system capacity:The number of people using water in school bathrooms is concentrated (such as thousands of students using it at the same time), and the daily water consumption can reach hundreds of tons, requiring large heat collection arrays and water storage tanks. 

★Configuration: 3,000 Solar Panels + 6 Units of 10HP Air Source Heat Pumps + 60-ton Water Tank

★Through the integrated design of “solar energy+multi energy complementarity+intelligent control”, it is possible to achieve “low-cost, high stability, and strong environmental protection” hot water supply.

★Fully utilize the roof of the bathroom to place solar collectors and configure large capacity insulated water tanks to solve the problem of large water usage during concentrated periods. And there is no risk of gas leakage or electric shock, ensuring the safety of students.
